The effects of anger on health have more to do with duration than frequency and intensity. The normal experience of overt anger lasts only a few minutes. But the subtle forms of anger, such as resentment, impatience, irritability, grouchiness, etc., can go on for hours and days at a time. Consistent, prolonged levels of anger give a person a five times greater chance of dying before age 50. Anger elevates blood pressure, increases threat of stroke, heart disease, cancer, depression, anxiety disorders, and, in general, depresses the immune system (angry people have lots of little aches and pains or get a lot of colds and bouts of flu or headaches or upset stomachs). To make matters worse, angry people tend to seek relief from the ill-moods caused by anger through other health-endangering habits, such as smoking and drinking, or through compulsive behavior such as workaholism and perfectionism.
Laboratory experiments have shown that even subtle forms of anger impair problem-solving abilities and general performance competence. In addition to increasing error rates, anger narrows and makes rigid mental focus, tending to obscure alternative perspectives. The angry person has one “right way” of doing things, which, if selected in anger, is seldom the best way. There is nothing you can do angry (resentful, irritable, grouchy, impatient, chilly) that you can’t do better not angry.

Because it acts on the entire central nervous system as an amphetamine, anger always produces a physiological “crash,” often experienced as depression when the issues causing the anger remain unresolved. Think about it. The last time you got really angry, you got really depressed afterwards. The angrier you get, the more depressed you get. And that is merely the physiological response, even if you keep from doing something while angry that you’re ashamed of, like hurting the feelings of someone you love.

What is an Anger Problem?

A dangerous myth about an “anger-problem” restricts its definition to aggression, abuse, hurting people, or destroying property. But this describes only one of a great many forms of anger. You have an anger problem if some subtle form of anger - that you may not even be aware of - makes you do what is not in your best interest or keeps you from performing at your highest potential. This could mean something subtle, like putting a chilly wall between you and others or a continual impatience or low frustration tolerance that interferes with problem solving and performance competence.

Whatever the form of anger, in persistence you run the risk of becoming a reactaholic, with your thoughts, feelings, and behavior totally controlled by whoever or whatever you’re reacting to. The more reactive you are, the more powerless you feel; anger is ultimately a cry of powerlessness.

Self-Compassion and Compassion for Others

Mastery of the three steps of self-compassion and compassion for others makes us virtually immune to the ill-effects of anger. The first step of self-compassion is seeing beneath the symptom or defense (anger, anxiety, manipulation, obnoxious behavior) to the cause, which is some form of core hurt (feeling unimportant, disregarded, accused, devalued, guilty, untrustworthy, rejected, powerless, unlovable). Second, the core hurt must be validated (this is how I feel at this moment), and, third, changed (this behavior or event or disappointment or mistake does not mean that I’m unimportant, not valuable or lovable.) Compassion for others is recognizing that their symptoms, defenses, and obnoxious behavior come from a core hurt, validating it, and supporting them while they change it. Compassion does not excuse obnoxious behavior. Rather, it keeps us from attacking the already wounded person, which allows focus on changing the undesired behavior.

Anger Regulation versus Anger Management

Regulation of anger means healing the hurt that causes it by internally restoring the core personal value that seems diminished by the behavior of another. In contrast, anger management requires enduring the hurt that causes the anger but redirecting its effects to avoid aggression and trouble. Anger regulation employs the principles of emotional intelligence: awareness of internal experience, the ability to control the meaning of one’s emotional experience, and empathy for the emotional experience of others. An excellent regulation technique, called HEALSTM, obviates the powerlessness of anger by providing the sense of internal power, well-being, self-compassion, and compassion for others necessary for optimal health and problem-solving. HEALSTM is a technology that, with practice, automatically invokes a response of self-compassion and compassion for others whenever anger and other symptoms and defenses are stimulated, keeping the focus on solutions to the problem, rather than attacking the person. More than 90% effective in lowering anger to problem-solving and performance-efficient levels, HEALSTM can be learned in three or less sessions of training.

Anger at Your Children: Who Has the Power?

Every parent since the beginning of time has been painfully aware that children can do a great many things to irritate, frustrate, and otherwise turn the pleasant feelings of their caretakers into moods from hell. Those same creatures who look like little darlings when they sleep can almost at their whim produce headaches, upset stomachs, jangled nerves, strained muscles, aching bones, and overloaded emotional and sensory circuits.

But there’s one thing that even the most exuberant or obstinate of children cannot do: They can’t make us angry. They cannot force us to give up internal regulation of our emotional experience. To understand this scientific fact that seems to fly in the face of common sense, consider the psychobiological function of anger.

Why Anger is a Problem in Families

An automatic response triggered whenever we feel threatened, anger is the most powerful of all emotional experience. The only emotion that activates every muscle group and organ of the body, anger exists to mobilize the instinctual fight or flight response meant to protect us from predators. Of course, our children are not predators. For the vast majority of problems in family life, anger constitutes overkill and under-think. Applying this survival-level fight or flight response to everyday problems of family living is like using a rock to turn off a lamp or a tank to repair a computer.

Is anyone really stupid enough to turn off a lamp with a rock? When angry, everybody is that stupid. The problem has nothing to do with intelligence, it has to do with how hurt we are. Anger is always a reaction to hurt. It can be physical pain, which is why, when you bang your thumb with a hammer while trying to hang a picture, you don’t pray.

Far more often, though, anger is a reaction to psychological hurt or threat of hurt, in the form of a diminished sense of self. Vulnerability to psychological hurt depends entirely on how you feel about yourself. When your sense of self is weak or disorganized, anything can make you irritable or angry. When it’s solid and well-integrated, the insults and frustrations of life just roll off your back.

For instance, if you’ve had a bad day, if you’re feeling guilty, a little bit like a failure, or just disregarded, devalued, or irritable, you might come home to find your kid’s shoes in the middle of the floor and respond with: “That lazy, selfish, inconsiderate, little brat!” Yet you can come home after a great day of feeling fine about yourself, see the same shoes in the middle of the floor and think, “Oh, that’s just Jimmy or Sally,” and not think twice about it.

The difference in your reaction to the child’s behavior lies entirely within you and depends completely on how you feel about yourself. In the first case the child’s behavior seems to diminish your sense of self: “If he cared about me, he wouldn’t do this; if my own kid doesn’t care about me, I must not be worth caring about.” The anger is to punish the child for your diminished sense of self. In the second instance, the child’s behavior does not diminish your sense of personal importance, value, power, and lovability. So there is no need for anger. You don’t need a tank to solve the problem of the shoes in the middle of the floor. Rather, the problem to be solved is how to teach the child to be more considerate in his behavior; you won’t do that by humiliating him because you feel humiliated. His reaction to humiliation will be the same as yours: an inability see the other person’s perspective, an overwhelming urge to blame, and an impulse for revenge or punishment.

Modeling Anger Regulation for Children

Although their intellectual maturity is far less advanced than that of their parents, children experience anger for the same reasons as adults, mostly to defend the sense of self from pain and temporary diminishment. At the moment of anger, both children and adults feel bad about themselves. Making angry people feel worse about themselves will only make things worse. Rather, children must learn from their parents that the sense of self is internal and can be regulated only within themselves. They must restore their own sense of core value while respecting the rights of other people, which means regulating the impulse for revenge through validation of the hurt causing the urge for revenge, and through understanding the perspective of the person at whom the anger is directed. They will only learn to do this by watching their parents do it.

Anger Regulation

Here are a few of the common activators of anger, which we call core hurts: feeling disregarded, unimportant, accused, guilty, untrustworthy, devalued, rejected, powerless, unworthy of love. Once activated, core hurts put the sense of self at stake in solving the problem, which greatly distorts thinking, blows the problem out of proportion, and increases the emotional intensity of the response. Of course the child is responsible only for his/her behavior, not your sense of self.

To regulate anger, we must reduce the sensitivity of these activators. We must learn to view anger as a signal, not to assign blame to our children for tripping the activator, but to look within the self to reset the activated core hurt, i.e., to restore Core Value, a sense of personal adequacy and worthiness. With the sense of self no longer at stake, the problem, no longer a source of self-diminishment, can be solved for what it is: a call for more attention/effort, an inconvenience, disappointment, or mistake.

Emotional regulation skills can be learned fairly quickly in three concentrated learning sessions, with consistent practice between sessions. But whether learned through training or through personal experience that internally regulates anger activators, successful parenting, personal happiness, optimal work efficiency, physical and psychological health, and the capacity to sustain viable attachment relationships demands self-regulation of the impulse to anger and resentment.

Although cosmetic eyelid surgery is a relatively safe procedure, it is important to review the potential risks. The most dangerous complication from surgery is excessive bleeding after the surgery. The nerve that is responsible for eyesight could be potentially squeezed by excess blood and cause permanent loss of vision. By stopping any blood thinning medications two weeks prior to surgery the chances of such a problem are greatly diminished. Other potential risks of surgery include double vision, dry eyes, infection, a retracted or pulled down eyelid, asymmetry, undercorrection, overcorrection, and the need for more surgery. A brow lift has its own unique set of complications. These include tenderness along the hairline and weakness of the facial nerve. Fortunately, with good surgical technique such problems are rare.
One effect of surgery that is quite common is the formation of milia during the healing process. These are small cysts that can form along the incision line in the weeks after surgery. These cysts are hard to see with the naked eye but can be seen with a magnifying mirror. They are treated at first with simple observation since they usually resolve on there own and they are so difficult for anyone to see. If they don’t go away spontaneously after a few months, Dr. Ebroon can remove them in the office very easily.
Dr. Daniel Ebroon is an Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeon, which means he specializes in plastic surgery of the eyelids. Cosmetic eyelid surgery (also called blepharoplasty) is cosmetic surgery that rejuvinates tired looking eyes.
You don’t realize it yet, but in the next two minutes, you’re going to learn about an amazing natural and drug-free therapy that could release you from the shackles of your chronic back pain.

You see the truth is, your back pain is a THIEF! In fact, it’s robbing from you right now as your sitting and reading this. Yes you heard right, it’s robbing you of the FREEDOM to:

1. Perform simple day to day tasks e.g. gardening, driving
2. Enjoy a good nights sleep
3. Feel energized and refreshed
4. Have peace of mind, free from depression and anxiety
5. Play with your kids
6. Bend & stretch to reach things
7. Maintain a fully independent lifestyle

The No.1 Cause of Disability

Millions are suffering like you across the world! In fact according to the UK ‘Back Care’ Charity, there are AT LEAST 1.1 million people suffering from back pain each year. Back Pain is cited as being the main cause of disability in U.K. Every year over 150 million working days are lost due to back pain.

The picture across the waters in the US tells a very similar story. According to American Chiropractic Association, at any given time, there are approximately 31 million people experiencing some form of back pain.

According to the World Health Organization -

“More people in Canada, the U.S., and Finland are disabled from working due to musculoskeletal disorders, especially back pain, than any other group of diseases.” (Badley et al 1994)

Time for a Change…Don’t You Think?

Clearly those figures are not going to fill you with sunny optimism, but here’s something that will. I’m talking about a therapy that uses the awesome forces of nature to help you get your life back. It’s been in use since about 2000 B.C. The ancient Chinese, Egyptians, Greeks and Indians, swore by it. Archimedes praised its amazing therapeutic powers.

Today, it has many well-known devotees such as Cherie Blair, Bill Clinton, Andre Agassi, and Sir Anthony Hopkins. And, it was approved in February 2006, for use by the National Health Service.

Let me introduce the phenomenal power of Magnetic Therapy as your heavyweight contender in the fight against your back pain. Magnetic Energy is all natural; in fact the earth itself is a huge magnet. Magnetic Therapy uses this powerful energy to stimulate and kick start your bodies own healing processes.

The therapy itself is a non-invasive and safe method of applying static or pulsed magnets, either directly above the point of injury or near a major artery. These high strength magnets generate a Magnetic Field that is powerful enough to penetrate right through the skin and bones, down to the cells.

How Magnetic Therapy Can Affect Your Back’s Pain & Inflammation

When the Magnetic Field penetrates down to the cellular level, the iron content present within your blood cells becomes responsive to it. This reaction results in improved blood circulation.

One of the functions of blood is to take oxygen and nutrients from the heart out to the cells, tissues and vital organs in the body. Therefore, improved blood circulation means that more oxygen and nutrients can be transported out to the damaged cells and tissues a lot more efficiently.

This booster supply of oxygen and nutrients enables the bodies own healing processes to work at an accelerated rate. In the midst of all this activity, the brain sends out signals to release the body’s natural painkillers, i.e. Endorphins. Magnetic Therapy is not only effective at reducing pain, but also tackling Inflammation.

Inflammation is the body’s primary healing response to damaged tissues or attacks from viruses or bacteria. When the body comes under attack, the brain initiates the defense sequence of sending out the White Blood Cells (think of them as the bodies ‘heavy mob’ who are always on the look out for trouble, aka the viruses, foreign bodies etc) to the site of injury or location of foreign bodies.

The white blood cell’s job is to devour the foreign bodies and then release chemicals into the surrounding tissues. It is these chemicals that trigger inflammation. Inflammation causes blood vessels to increase in width to make allowance for the increased amount of blood going to the site of injury. The blood transports the white blood cells, platelets, nutrients and oxygen to the area at an accelerated pace.

Fluid flows from the blood vessels and leaks into the damaged tissues causing swelling. The swollen area becomes puffy and warm to touch. White blood cells will maintain their position at the point of injury, and the brain will continue to send reinforcements until the battle is won.

However, if there is a continued highly concentrated presence of white blood cells in the blood, this could indicate that something very serious is going on in the body.

The Magnetic Field benefits inflammation by drawing out excess fluid and toxins from the surrounding tissues and then expelling them, on route, via the Liver and Kidneys. Once the excess fluid and toxins are removed the swelling will begin to reduce.
The improved blood circulation and tackling of inflammation, leaves the way open for the body to be able to HEAL ITSELF efficiently.

The end result for you, the sufferer, is that the scales become tipped in your favour, i.e., you control the Back Pain instead of the Back Pain controlling you.

The main benefits that you can get from Magnetic Therapy are that it:

1. Is a drug free alternative to manage pain
2. Uses natural energy
3. Has stood the test of time
4. Is constantly advancing - the amount of evidence and studies about it’s effectiveness continue to grow year on year
5. Won’t mask pain, it attacks the source
6. Can make you feel less stressed and more energised
7. Can be used to treat mild depression
8. Relieves or eliminates pain & inflammation
9. Improves circulation
10. Is a cost effective option to paying for prescriptions
11. Longer lasting pain relief than traditional pain killers
12. Puts you in control of your pain

Try it today; you’ve nothing to lose except your pain!

Three: there are in fact three types of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes, sometimes called juvenile diabetes because this is usually when the symptoms are first seen, is the body’s inability to produce insulin. Type 2 diabetes is when the body produces insulin but cannot make proper use of it. Gestational diabetes is a temporary illness developed during pregnancy, with type 2 diabetes symptoms.

18 Million: the number of Americans who suffer from diabetes symptoms in the US. The numbers of people diagnosed with diabetes is rising year upon year in this country, and around the world. Diabetes is a genetic disease and is not caused by bad diet or lifestyle habits. However the wrong diet can lead to obesity, which is a major cause of type 2 diabetes. Stress also does not cause diabetes, but it may aggravate diabetes symptoms in sufferers.

Two Hundred: If after fasting for eight hours your blood sugar level is 200 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) or more then it is consistent with either type 1 or 2 diabetes. Normal blood sugar levels should be around 100mg/dL, whereas 125mg/dL or higher is defined as pre-diabetes and should be a source of concern. Once diagnosed, patients should begin diabetes treatment immediately to keep blood sugar levels under control.

Forty-five: is the percentage of kidney failures caused by diabetes. Having elevated blood sugar levels puts extra strain on the kidneys, whose job it is to filter the blood, and often lead to kidney disease or failure. This is why diabetes treatment to control blood sugar levels is so crucial.

92 billion: the number of dollars spent in the US on direct diabetes treatment and control in 2002. In 1997 the figure was $44 billion. People who suffer from diabetes spend on average 2.4 times as much on their healthcare than non-diabetics.

Fifteen: People who suffer from type 1 diabetes live, on average, 15 years less than non-diabetics. Besides the diabetes symptoms themselves, diabetics can suffer from a number of kidney and heart related diseases, and are also at risk from diabetic retinopathy (leading to blindness). Combined with the risk of hyperglycemia, a potentially fatal condition, it is little wonder that life-expectancy is lower. For people suffering from type 2 diabetes, life-expectancy is between 5 and 10 years less than non-diabetics. Proper diabetes treatment can help increase life-span for diabetics considerably.

1/2: Fifty percent of children born from ethnic minorities will develop diabetes at some point in their lives. This is lower than the national average. Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians are all at greater risk of developing diabetes symptoms than their white counterparts.

Zero: The amount that diabetes need affect your life. Diabetes treatment does not necessarily have to include medication or insulin shots. With natural vitamins and minerals, along with a balanced diet, blood sugar levels can be controlled effectively and diabetes symptoms are minimized. Control your diabetes; don’t let your diabetes control you.

Get fit at home is what we all can do and probably something most of us have thought about at one time or another.

People are busy, we all are and the biggest complaint from folks that don’t work out is that they don’t have the time to exercise. Those people need to realize that those that do workout are just as busy but still find the time to exercise.

Check out these 10 ways to incorporate 30 minutes of fitness into a very busy daily schedule.

1. Schedule your workouts and stick to it. It’s just like keeping appointments and vacations, so why not with your workouts?

2. Remember that play park you went to as a kid? Well do it again now as an adult. Run to the park and play on every apparatus there is. Use every second to burn calories. Ruin, jump, swing and use the bars to get up a good sweat. You’ll realize this is hard work but a lot of fun.

3. Salsa dancing. Take your spouse or significant other dancing a couple of times a week and dance for 30 minutes. 30 minutes just flies by and before you know it you have been dancing for two hours. This can be a great workout and really make you sweat.

4. Get fit at home when watching commercials by doing pushups, squats or running on the spot. You can try skipping or some core exercises.

5. When ever you walk (even if going nowhere), walk fast. Get your heart rate up to burn calories, lose weight and get fit all at once. Get a fast pace going so you work up a good sweat.

6. Try playing with your kids (really play with them), like when they are running you should do the same. Jump when they jump and when they are tired you can use them as weights to lift up like barbells. You will be toned in know time as well as fit, because keeping up with your kids really is a struggle for you.

7. Use chores around the house to get fit at home. Choose physical tasks that take an hour to do. Now challenge yourself by adding to that number and then finishing the task in half the time. Do as many as possible, as fast as possible, be efficient and work up a good sweat.

8. Rent a good comedians DVD and laugh hard. You will burn calories the more you laugh. We all want to laugh until our stomach aches right?

9. Hit the bag - use your boxing techniques to pound on that heavy bag. You can burn a lot of calories in 30 minutes, and if you don’t have a bag just pretend you do. It’s fun.

10. Take you dog for a walk, I mean let him take you for a run. Put the leash on your dog and let them run while you do your best to keep up.

These are great ways to get fit at home that we all can do.
In this article you can frequently asked questions about one type of bird flu, called avian influenza A (H5N1) that is infecting birds in Asia and has infected some humans.

Question: What is avian influenza (bird flu)?

Bird flu is an infection caused by avian (bird) influenza (flu) viruses. Bird flu is very contagious among birds and can make some domesticated birds, including chickens, ducks, and turkeys, very sick and kill them.

Question: Do bird flu viruses infect humans?

Bird flu viruses do not usually infect humans, but several cases of human infection with bird flu viruses have occurred since 1997.

Question: What are the symptoms of bird flu in humans?

Symptoms of bird flu in humans can be similar to those resulting from typical flu-like symptoms, like fever, cough, sore throat and muscle aches. Other severe symptoms are eye infections, pneumonia, severe respiratory diseases, and other severe and life-threatening complications.

Question: How does bird flu spread?

Infected birds shed flu virus in their saliva, nasal secretions, and feces. It is believed that most cases of bird flu infection in humans have resulted from contact with infected poultry or contaminated surfaces. The transmission of bird flu from one ill person to another has been reported very rarely.

Question: How is bird flu in humans treated?

Studies done in laboratories suggest that the prescription medicines approved for human flu viruses should work in preventing bird flu infection in humans.

Question: What is the risk to humans from bird flu?

The risk from bird flu is generally low to most people because the viruses occur mainly among birds and do not usually infect humans. However, during an outbreak of bird flu among poultry (domesticated chicken, ducks, turkeys), there is a possible risk to people who have contact with infected birds or surfaces that have been contaminated with excretions from infected birds. In such situations, people should avoid contact with infected birds or contaminated surfaces, and should be careful when handling and cooking poultry. In rare instances, limited human-to-human spread of H5N1 virus has occurred, and transmission has not been observed to continue beyond one person.

Question: Is there a vaccine to protect humans from H5N1 virus?

There currently is no commercially available vaccine to protect humans against the H5N1 virus that is being seen in Asia and Europe. However, vaccine development efforts are taking place.

Root Cause of Mesothelioma Pain:

The root cause of the Mesothelioma pain is the cancer of the lining of lung and abdomen, which is attributed to the patient having had a long exposure of Asbestos. Asbestos is a natural fibrous mineral and has a multiplicity of uses in many industries such as construction process, boilers, railroad shipyards and other industries. It was widely used because of its stability and fire resistant properties even at high temperatures.

Asbestos the Monster cause of Mesothelioma Pain

But on account of it’s serious health damaging implications the manufacturing and use of asbestos is now considered as extremely hazardous. Exposure to asbestos increases the vulnerability to respiratory disorders, including a form of lung fibrosis known as Asbestosis. Inhalation of asbestos particles is also the factor causing mesothelioma cancers resulting in severe mesothelioma pain.

Mesothelioma Pain and Its Remedies:

Management of mesothelioma pain is based on different aspects such as what is causing the pain. The tumor pressing on nerves and other structures and organs around the area causes severe pain. It can also result from treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation and because of psychological reasons.

Doctors have defined mesothelioma pain as Acute, chronic and breakthrough and prescribe different types of medication for each kind. Three types of medicines are available for these pains. There are non-opioids that are non-toxic and are effective to treat the low level pain. The opioids treat moderate to severe pain. The third category is Rapid-onset opioids to treat the breakthrough or acute pain. The second and the third varieties of medicines for mesothelioma pain are narcotic in nature. Unfortunately, these the medicines in general and he narcotic medicines in particular have serious side effects and they should be taken under medical supervision.

New Techniques For Controlling Mesothelioma Pain:

With the advances in the field of health science, new techniques have been developed for managing mesothelioma pain. These new techniques do not cause any side effects on the patients. For example Neurosurgery is being used on some mesothelioma patients whereby the doctors block or alter the nerve pathways along which the pain messages are transmitted. Nerve blocks also called the Epidurals are also used to help treat the chronic pain. But the most effective way of controlling mesothelioma pain is through psychological help, counseling, body therapy and meditation.

Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women worldwide. And in the United States, an estimated 13,000 cases of invasive cervical cancer are expected to be diagnosed each year.
Cervical cancer is usually caused by a sexually transmitted virus called the human papilloma virus or ‘HPV’. Most HPV infections will not lead to cervical cancer. However, infection with these viral types can lead to abnormal changes in the cells of the cervix. Certain changes called ‘high-grade lesions’ may progress to cervical cancer and cervical cancer signs if not treated.
Common cervical cancer signs include these symptoms:
• Vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse
• Pelvic pain
• Pain during sexual intercourse
• Unusual vaginal discharge
• Abnormal bleeding between menstrual periods
• Heavy bleeding during your menstrual period
• Increased urinary frequency
Pap smears are the best screening technique currently available to evaluate the cells on the face of the cervix. The Pap smear is defined as a test for the signs of cervical cancer such as cancerous or pre-cancerous cells of the cervix. Most Pap smear test results come rated from Class I through Class V.
• Class I is normal,
• Class II means an irritation or inflammation,
• Class III means it is a true cervical dysplasia that can range from mild to serious,
• Class IV may be one of a variety of pre-cancers or cancers,
• Class V is one of the serious invasive cervical cancer signs.
Pap smear tests are necessary, but they are not always accurate. And their results sometimes appear normal even when a woman has the abnormal cells of cancer. If cervical cancer is suspected and the pap smear test comes back either as normal or as positive, consider getting another pap smear from a different laboratory and a second opinion from another doctor. If your Pap smear shows dysplasia, a biopsy can rule out cervical cancer.
Another testing method is being developed that uses a small fiber optic probe that may replace pap smears. This method is still being tested. Hopefully, it should give women more accurate screenings, eliminate unnecessary biopsies and help diagnose cervical cancer in its early stages.
Early stages of cervical cancer often go on without any noticeable symptoms! Cervical cancer is usually a very slow growing cancer. Cervical cancer is often diagnosed and treated in an advanced stage when the success rate is much lower. Most women that have invasive cervical cancer will be treated with surgery, chemotherapy and radiation or some combination of these. There are women that will have a hysterectomy as a consequence of cervical cancer that has spread within the cervix.
There are two types of hysterectomy — the partial and the complete. In a partial hysterectomy, only the uterus is removed. In a complete hysterectomy, the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries are removed (the medical term for removal of the ovaries is oophorectomy).
A complete hysterectomy will have a significant impact on a woman’s hormonal balance and health since the ovaries are such an important source of hormone production. Even a partial hysterectomy can have a significant effect, first because the uterus plays a role in hormonal balance, and second because in most cases the circulation to the ovaries is impaired enough by the surgery to seriously affect their function.
There are conditions for which hysterectomy is advisable or medically necessary. These include ovarian, uterine or cervical cancer, uncontrollable bleeding, severe endometriosis (adenomyosis) and complex hyperplasia, to name a few.
Women should know what the cervical cancer symptoms are so that proper medical help can be obtained when needed. To learn more about cervical cancer signs, causes and natural treatments, visit Cervical Cancer Signs and Treatments to read more.

Author: Davina Moore, Source: ezinearticles.com

While someone is troubled with a panic attack, they are feeling extraordinary anxiety concerning something. Usually the onset created by it is sudden and the warning signs of an attack are enormous. Quite a few panic attack individuals suspect quite possibly having a heart attack or that the feelings they are experiencing will result to a heart attack. Additionally, they might be believing that they are dying. While people do not commonly die from attacks, the feelings of this are sometimes overwhelming.

Panic attacks symptoms could possibly arise quickly with virtually no actual cause. Its manifestation can be felt throughout the body as it reacts to an unmanageable fear such as pounding or racing heart, chest pains or problem breathing, stomach upset or nausea, dizziness, lightheadedness, tingling or numbness in the hands, hot flashes or chills. The signs may well also be assumed within the mind by encountering a dreamlike feeling, the feeling of dread, a compulsion to escape, the fear of losing control, doing something embarrassing, or perhaps the fear of dying.

A vital indication of a panic disorder often is the fear of having upcoming panic episodes. Most of the people who’ve had one attack likely will have others. The fear of suffering with an attack again might cause the individual to stay clear of places and situations where an attack has manifested during the past, or where they believe an attack may occur. Some might develop a phobia about these scenarios. Panic attacks are different from other types of anxiety mainly because they can happen so abruptly and unpredicted. They could occur without being provoked and are also possibly disabling. The attacks themselves are generally a symptom of an anxiety disorder. Once in a pattern of anxiety and avoidance, the person is said to have a panic disorder.

A panic disorder might have a heavy effect on a person’s everyday life unless the person receives effective treatment. Panic attacks symptoms as well as the actual problem itself, is a major health problem that 1.7% or 3 million of adult Americans have problems with at some stage in their lives. The peak age of which somebody could experience their first attack is between the ages of 15 and 19, but it may happen quicker.

A panic attack will generally lasts for a couple of minutes, and is one of the most unpleasant conditions that a person can suffer with. Considering its signs and symptoms can accurately mimic those of a heart attack, the individual fears the attack itself by thinking what’s taking place to their bodies will lead to death. Panic attacks may take place while a person is sleeping also. These are nocturnal attacks, however they occur far less frequently than attacks in daytime. These types of attacks very often cause sufferers to wake quickly from sleep in the state of sudden anxiety through no obvious cause and can have all the other symptoms of a panic attack. Even though nocturnal panic attacks tend to last less than 10 minutes, the time that it takes to fully calm down after such an event can be a lot longer.

Even while typically, individuals often endure in a number of various ways when it comes to these attacks, the symptoms for all people fall into the same state of mind. Most people with panic attacks symptoms claim to have the feeling that their mind is becoming uncontrollable.

Author: Nancy Fleck, Source: ezinearticles.com

My sister is 63 years old and has curvature of the spine. Her curve is in the middle of the shoulder blades, where mine is in the lower back. She lives in Florida and I live in Illinois. She came to visit me on one of her visits and drove practically straight through. I could tell by the way she looked and walked that she was in pain from her long trip. After she settled in a while I asked her if she wanted to get on my inverting table for relief. I told her that if it was going to help her after she got off it, she would find almost instantaneous relief from her back pain.

She reluctantly got on the machine and I gently led her upside down and she began to have more pain. I set her right back up. I explained to her that initially people will feel more pain, while on the table, but after a while, they would feel better even while inverting.

She then explained to me that the last time she went to the Chiropractor he told her that he couldn’t adjust her because on her xrays it showed that she had a bulging disk that is now caught out of the disk by a bone spur on her back.

The reason I write this article is because I want you to understand that when you have back pain, you need to go to the doctor to have an xray to tell the truth about your back. Xrays do not lie. Don’t wait for a bone spur to grow over your pinched disk and lock you into pain for the rest of your life. How sad to find out that there isn’t any way to fix the problem! Find out the problem and if inversion therapy will help you live with your back problem, great!

Inversion Therapy could be the way to get pain free quickly and without any side affects. Don’t wait until you have osteoporosis, or a bulging disk, or a number of other problems with your spine. My Chiropractor even told me that inversion helps to make the spine strong and helps to prevent osteoporosis by building more bone mass in the back. Also, he told me that calcium gets into the back better by better blood flow due to Inversion Therapy.

One way my sister is coping is that she uses the Sun Ancon Chi Machine for many reasons, but one reason is because it could help reduce or eliminate bone spurs in your back. It also helps with her back pain and helps with stress to name a few. I am hopeful that she will eventually be able to use inversion for her back problem someday.

Why wait until you have a serious back problem. I don’t know of any other machine that can help keep you from having painful and debilitating problems with your back. Besides, when we age we naturally begin to bend forward. With Inversion Therapy, you can keep this from happening. Why be bent if you don’t have to. People tend to think they have no control over their health. I say, do whatever is necessary to keep your health for as long as you can and use the most natural means. Natural therapy will cost less in the long run and be less invasive.

I hope this article helps those who are not necessarily having problems with their backs now and for those who are experiencing pain now. My suggestion is to practice prevention and go to the doctor, find out what the problem is and use a natural way to deal with that problem. Inversion Therapy is natural and non-invasive.

Take care,
